]]> Das neue Album der amerikanischen Punk-Band Against Me! ist ein Live-Album. Aufgenommen wurde es angeblich am 29. Februar 2015 im „The Gritty Clit“ in Kiev, Indiana – eine rein fiktionale Angabe, alleine das Datum existiert schon mal nicht.

Das Album strotzt nur so von der Energie die Against Me! auch bei ihren Konzerten tatsächlich ausstrahlen. Es geht gut zur Sache, auch eine klare Ansage der Sängerin Laura Jane zu einem Tumult im Publikum ist auf der Aufnahme.

Fast durchgehend wird ein härterer Ton angeschlagen, nur ein paar Momente zum Verschnaufen gibt es für die Zuhörer (z.B. mit den „Songs How Low“ und „Turn Those Clapping Hands into Angry Balled Fists“).

Kaum ein Hit fehlt, „True Trans Soul Rebel“ und „I Was A Teenage Anarchist“ gibt es direkt hintereinander, außerdem „Black Me Out“, „Transgender Dysphoria Blues“ usw.

Die 23 Songs stammen aus allen Schaffensperioden der Band. Und mit knapp 90 Minuten Spielzeit bekommt man auch so einiges zu hören.

Wer die Band bisher nicht live sehen konnte, kann sich hiermit zumindest ein bisschen das Feeling eines Against Me!-Konzerts in den Player holen… also anhören! Und wenn Against Me! wieder auf Tour gehen, unbedingt hingehen!
